On May 14, 2024, a group of new advocates were sworn in at Knox County Juvenile Court.
These seven individuals completed an accelerated training class which took place over the course of two weekends.
One of these new advocates, Emma Stewart, had this to say, “For quite some time, I have had a desire to help children going through difficult periods in their lives, and CASA offers the ability to advocate for these children and help ensure the court makes the best possible decision to set them up for success in the future. I am grateful for this opportunity and am very excited to start on my first case very soon.”
