Volunteering
What does it take to be a CASA volunteer?
Being a CASA volunteer does not require any special education or background, just a heart for children and a willingness to speak out and represent their best interests. You must be 21 or over, pass background checks, participate in a 30-hour pre-service training course and agree to stay with a case until it is closed (a year and a half on average). We commit ourselves to being the constant to children in our care so the ability to follow a case to its closure is critical.
Please contact our office to get more information about becoming a CASA volunteer by calling 865.329.3399×4 or by email at: contactcasa@casaofeasttn.org.
Training Opportunities:
Great news! We are forming training classes right now! We have daytime and evening classes starting May 28th. You can be part of one of those classes!
Please contact our office for specific training information. Summer Colbert is our Volunteer Coordinator and she would be happy to speak with you about the application and training process.
